"When my staff and I read the article in the Toronto Sun, we were compelled to put up a donation bin. customers threw pocket change to $20.00 bills into the container. We hope that this helps. But we also hope it shows that your sacrifices are not forgotten". May God Bless you all with a speedy recovery

"I was quite moved by the article about you in the Sun and your special mission...enclosed is a modest encouragement to assist in your excellent work. I'm reminded of a verse in the Bible: "Let us not become weary in well doing. For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"
Bless you and thank you.

Dear Captain Johnston
"I am a city police officer in Sarnia Ontario who also runs an emergency services hockey league. The name of the league is the 911 Mens Hockey League. It is represented by Police Officers from both sides of the US/Canadian border as well as Firefighters, EMS, customs Officers etc.
This Christmas Eve we ran a family skate followed by a league Christmas party where we held a meat raffle and accepted donations for the fund, the result of which is enclosed.
not only do we support our troops deployed around the world, we wish Mike and all the other Canadian troops who are wounded a speedy recovery. we hope our small donation will help make their transition just a little bit easier.
Keep up the great work and good luck with The Sapper Mike McTeague Wounded Warrior fund".

"I met with Captain Wayne Johnston at the Red Fridays Rally in Burlington.
It is so refreshing to see that this fund is grass roots and so light on administration costs. all too often these days so called charities give so little of the cash collected. This is a cause I am proud to donate to as I know the funds will get to our Canadian Heroes who need our help in their hour of need".

"I cannot tell you how moved we are at the situation these days with our troops. Please find enclosed a small donation as it is the least we can do.
I am so sorry it isn't larger as I am on a pension".
